My Professional Background

Robin Locke Monda

With a BA in Fine Art from Brooklyn College and an MFA in Integrated Media Arts from Hunter College, I am well-versed in commercial art, advertising, print and digital marketing, social media, popular culture and the fine arts. I have more than 25 years of experience working for a variety of large and small companies who provide printing, accounting, paper product creation and marketing, corporate design services, advertising, and book publishing.

I've worked in Arthur Young's in-house corporate art department, as well as for Ogilvy & Mather and Wells Rich Greene. At Penguin Books USA I was a Senior Cover Designer in the adult trade art department. I've designed book covers for St. Martin's Press, Warner Books, Henry Holt & Company, W. W. Norton and McGraw-Hill. Most recently, I've enjoyed working with independent authors. Over my career I've provided graphic design services to small and medium-sized businesses, nonprofit organizations, and arts, cultural and educational institutions. Concurrently, I've had a career as a fine artist, having exhibited my artwork at museums and galleries in New York City, Albany, New Jersey and Philadelphia. I also write poetry and belong to a monthly poetry group

Though born in Massachusetts and raised in New England, I've become a happy citizen of New York City. I love the creative energy of here, and wouldn't live anywhere else. Given the freedom of working online, I now serve clients located as close as the five boroughs, and as far away as Australia and England. I collaborate with editors, publishers, and fabricators online, regardless of their location. I look forward to working with you!
